Attention Residents:
Since Monday, operators have begun a bioaugmentation process at the plant to help reduce odors. This will continue until Sunday. During this time, you may notice more earthy smells instead of foul odors.
Please be aware that some smells may still be present due to humidity and septic sewage caused by recent power outages. The aeration required to keep the system suspended actually results in less odor overall.
We are pleased to report that the operators' efforts have doubled the dissolved oxygen in both the aeration basin and the holding tank. This indicates that the system is coming back to life and the odor should subside soon. However, this may initially cause an increase in odor.
Thank you for your understanding and patience!
