TAKE NOTICE that the undersigned will accept nominations for the following offices in the Town of Shelburne for which an election will be held on the 19th day of October, 2024:
ONE (1) MAYOR AND FOUR (4) COUNCILLORS
How to OBTAIN Nomination Papers:
- Nomination Papers may be picked up at the Town of Shelburne August 26th – September 10th, 2024, at the new Town of Shelburne Office, Second Floor, Post Office Building, 162 Mowatt Street, between the hours of 9am – 3pm weekdays (excluding holidays).
- Due to office relocation (August 19th – August 23rd, 2024), please phone or email between the hours of 1-2pm, to make arrangements to pick up nomination papers.

WHERE TO FILE NOMINATION PAPERS:
A nomination shall be filed at the office of the Returning Officer (Ken Smith), Second Floor, Post Office Building, Town of Shelburne, 162 Mowatt Street between 9:00 am and 3:00 pm on nomination day, which is Tuesday, September 10th. 2024 or by appointment only during office hours in the seven (7) business days preceding nomination day.
AND TAKE FURTHER NOTICE that electors in the Municipalities of; Municipality of the District of Shelburne, Municipality of the District of Argyle, Municipality of the District of Barrington, Municipality of the District of Yarmouth, Town of Clark’s Harbour, Town of Lockport, Town of Shelburne, and Town of Yarmouth will elect one person to be a Member of the Conseil Scolaire Acadien Provincial and a nomination for that office shall be filed at the office of the Returning Officer Scott Surette, 5 J.E. Hatfield Court, Tusket, Nova Scotia, between 9:00 am and 5:00 pm on nomination day which is Tuesday, September 10th, 2024, or by appointment during office hours in the 7 business days preceding nomination day.
