The Town of Shelburne advises residents that Council has approved an amendment to the Town’s Tax Sale Policy.
Effective April 1, 2027, the policy has been amended to allow properties with tax arrears for one (1) preceding taxation year to be placed on the Tax Sale List. Previously, properties were eligible for tax sale proceedings after two (2) preceding taxation years in arrears.
This amendment was approved by Council as part of ongoing efforts to strengthen the Town’s tax collection process.
